Dr. Eleni Liapi received her M.D. at the University of Ioannina Faculty of Medicine, Greece, and residency training in diagnostic radiology, in Greece. She completed a post-doctoral research fellowship in interventional radiology at Johns Hopkins University and was subsequently appointed as faculty in interventional radiology. As junior faculty, she received a KL2 Career Development Award (Johns Hopkins Clinical Research Scholars Program), which also gave her the opportunity to receive a Master of Science (Sc.M.) in public health (clinical investigation) at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Her research focused on translational and clinical research, specifically on developing novel image-guided interventions for liver cancer, as well as oncologic imaging methods for assessing tumor response. Other interests included quantitative imaging biomarkers of tumor response to therapy, as well as image-guided vascular and organ access. Before joining CSR, Dr. Liapi was an assistant professor of radiology and oncology at Johns Hopkins University and was the PI or co-investigator on several NIH awards.
