Dr. Bakary Drammeh received his Dr P.H. at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and post-doctoral fellowship training in vaccine safety at the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Prior to joining CSR, he was a health scientist at the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Division of Global HIV and TB, HIV Prevention Branch. During his tenure at CDC, Dr. Drammeh focused on HIV research with special emphasis on medical transmission prevention of HIV hepatitis B and C viruses, blood safety and HIV testing and counseling services. He served as principal investigator and co-investigator for several international studies. He also served as a program officer and on review panels whilst at CDC. He provided technical assistance and trainings to Ministries of Health and hospital staffs in developing countries in the areas of HIV prevention and prevention of micronutrients deficiencies.
