Dr. Siddhartha Roy received his DrPH degree from Georgia Southern University in public health with a focus on community health behavior and education. He completed his post-doctoral training at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL, where he assisted in the development and implementation of community- and clinic-based interventions to address cancer health disparities with an emphasis on promoting colorectal cancer screening among underserved populations. Dr. Roy then took a faculty position in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, PA. At Penn State, he continued to conduct research focusing on addressing cancer health disparities, leading the development and implementation of community-based studies impacting prostate and colorectal cancer disparities among African Americans. Prior to joining CSR, Dr. Roy also helped to develop a research curriculum for medical residents and residency faculty and served as a research mentor for numerous medical students, residents, and faculty at Penn State.
