Dr. Ramos-Lopez holds a Ph.D. in biochemistry and molecular biology from the Universidad Complutense of Madrid, Spain. She completed her doctoral studies on the development of vaccines against leishmaniasis in a canine model. Then, she pursued postdoctoral training at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (ISMMS), New York, where she investigated innate and adaptive immune responses to influenza virus infection and vaccination. She later obtained a research faculty position at the same institution, continuing her work on influenza virus while expanding her expertise to Dengue and Zika viruses. Before joining CSR, she was an assistant professor at ISMMS, where she led a viral immunology team focusing on SARS-CoV-2 and influenza virus, including multi-omic analyses of infections and vaccinations. Additionally, she served as the project manager for two large-scale research consortia, coordinating research activities across multiple laboratories. She also contributed as a reviewer and academic editor for several scientific journals.
