Dr. Elizabeth Litvina received her Ph.D. in neurobiology from Harvard University, where she also completed a graduate minor in Science, Technology & Society at Harvard Kennedy School. Dr. Litvina subsequently joined the National Institutes of Health (NIH) as an American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Science and Technology Policy Fellow, supporting science policy and strategic planning at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS). She then transitioned to the Intramural Research Program of NINDS, where she focused first on science communication and managed the Board of Scientific Counselors, before taking on infrastructure program management responsibilities advising the NINDS Scientific Director. Prior to arriving at the Center for Scientific Review, she joined the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) as a Scientific Review Officer.
