Dr. Noton Dutta earned his Ph.D. in microbiology from Jadavpur University, India, and subsequently completed postdoctoral research fellowships at Seoul National University, Tulane University, and Johns Hopkins University. He then joined the Division of Infectious Diseases at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine as a research faculty member. Dr. Dutta's research focused on animal models of human tuberculosis (TB), exploring host-pathogen interactions, preclinical drug development, vaccine studies, and TB latency and reactivation processes. Before joining CSR, he served as a scientific review officer at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), where he managed study sections for Research Career Development (K) and Institutional Research Training (T) grant applications.
