Dr. Weihua Luo received his Ph.D. in medical oncology from the University of Glasgow in the United Kingdom and obtained his M.D. from Shanghai Second Medical University in China, where he worked as a surgeon as well as a cancer research scientist. Dr. Luo had postdoctoral training in the University of Rochester. He was an associate investigator in St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and a staff research fellow in the Center for Cancer Research at the National Cancer Institute before entering the CSR’s SRA Internship Program. His research focused on the G-protein coupled receptor-initiated signal transduction in mammalian cells and in cancer.
