Prior to his appointment as a Scientific Review Officer in 2004, Dr. Raj Krishnaraju was a Senior Research Fellow in the Intramural Research Program at National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research, where he led bioinformatics research.
Dr. Krishnaraju earned his Ph.D. in biology and immunology and worked on the mechanisms of estrogen receptor signaling in human breast cancer development. His postdoctoral studies were focused on cell growth and differentiation of hematopoietic cells. In addition, in 2002 Dr. Krishnaraju completed a two-year program in biomedical informatics and earned a Master’s degree in computer information sciences with an emphasis on bioinformatics.
