Dr. Brian Scott received his Ph.D. from the Center for Neural Science at New York University, and pursued postdoctoral training at the Laboratory of Neuropsychology at the National Institute of Mental Health, where he remained in the intramural program until joining CSR. His expertise spans sensory, systems, and cognitive neuroscience, as studied by electrophysiological, behavioral, and neuroanatomical techniques. His research focuses on systems for auditory perception and memory, and his work has identified functional and structural specializations for sound processing and memory within the primate cerebral cortex. At CSR, he applies this background to a broad portfolio of review groups concerning neuroscience and psychiatric disease.
