Dr. Helena Dagadu received her Ph.D. in medical sociology from Vanderbilt University. Dr. Dagadu also holds an M.P.H. from The George Washington University in Washington, DC. Prior to CSR, Dr. Dagadu was the Inaugural Endowed Assistant Professor of Sociology with a joint appointment in the department of public health sciences at Loyola University Chicago. Her scientific interests include health disparities and inequities, race and ethnicity, global health, immigrant health, and population health. Prior to her doctoral studies, Dr. Dagadu was the program manager for a CDC-funded project on cancer health disparities that was administered through the American Psychological Association’s Office on Socioeconomic Status.
