Dr. Adem Can completed his doctoral training in the behavioral neuroscience program of the department of psychology at the University of Texas at Austin. He then started his postdoctoral fellowship in the department of psychiatry at the University of Maryland - Baltimore School of Medicine, where he worked on the behavioral psychopharmacology of mood disorders and studied therapeutic mechanisms of lithium and ketamine. Prior to joining CSR, Dr. Can served as a research scientist at Walter Reed Army Institute of Research and investigated animal models and potential therapies for traumatic brain injury.
