Dr. Lai Yee Leung received her Ph.D. in biomedical engineering from Wayne State University, and continued her post-doctoral training at the Center for Psychiatry and Neuroscience at Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR) under the National Research Council Research Associateship Program. At WRAIR, Dr. Leung studied the pathophysiology and therapeutic interventions for polytrauma associated with traumatic brain injury. She was promoted to Senior Research Scientist and served as Principal Investigator on multiple funded projects. Prior to joining CSR, Dr. Leung was Chief Scientist and Program Manager (Henry Jackson Foundation) for Battlefield Shock and Organ Support Research Program at Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, where she focused her research on endovascular technology for hemorrhagic shock, and she oversaw the operations of the research program.
