Dr. Paul Hewett previously served as a senior associate at the Population Council, an international non-Governmental Organization whose mission is to improve the well-being and reproductive health of current and future generations. During his more than 20 years there, he worked in developing country settings and was funded as the principle or co-principle investigator on multiple research grants, including those from NIH, the UK Department for International Development, USAID, and the Bill & Melinda Grants Foundation. Dr. Hewett’s social and behavioral research included work in HIV and STI risk and prevention. He has technical expertise across many research methodologies, including impact evaluation, implementation science, prospective cohort studies, quasi-experiment and experimental designs, cost-effectiveness assessments and observational cross-sectional studies. He holds a Ph.D. in political science from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
