Dr. Bernard Srambical Wilfred received his Ph.D. in biotechnology from the Cochin University of Science and Technology in India. He completed his postdoctoral training in Alzheimer’s disease (AD) pathology from the Sanders-Brown Center on Aging at University of Kentucky. He then joined the Department of Brain Trauma and Neuroprotection, Center for Military Psychiatry and Neuroscience at Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR) as a research scientist. At WRAIR, his research focus was on identifying microRNA biomarkers of traumatic brain injury. He also served as principal investigator on projects related to alternate drug delivery approaches for brain injury.
