Dr. Jeanne McCaffery received her Ph.D. in clinical and health psychology with a focus on cardiovascular behavioral medicine from the University of Pittsburgh. Prior to joining the NIH, she served as assistant and associate professor at the Centers for Behavioral and Preventive Medicine and the Weight Control and Diabetes Research Center at the Alpert School of Medicine at Brown University; and as associate professor of Allied Health Sciences at the University of Connecticut. Her research interests focus on genetic and environmental contributions to behavioral risk factors and response to behavioral weight loss intervention to reduce cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes burden.
