Dr. Seyhan Boyoglu-Barnum earned her Ph.D. from Alabama State University and completed postdoctoral training at Emory University, specializing in RSV vaccine development. Dr. Boyoglu-Barnum contributed to the MERS outbreak response at the CDC’s Division of Viral Diseases and joined the NIH Vaccine Research Center (VRC) in 2016, where she led mosaic influenza vaccine studies and preclinical studies for the COVID-19 pandemic response. She has served as an editor for multiple immunology and virology journals, authored approximately 60 peer-reviewed publications, and holds several patents. Prior to joining CSR, Dr. Boyoglu-Barnum was Senior Manager/Acting Director at GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), where she led U.S. scientific communications and supported viral vaccine R&D.
