Dr. Adam Heuberger received his Ph.D. from Colorado State University, where he later served as an associate professor. At CSU, he led a transdisciplinary research program integrating molecular biology, genetics, and metabolomics to investigate food, nutrition, and health sciences. His work focused on discovering plant natural products to combat microbial pathogens and promote chronic disease prevention. Dr. Heuberger developed courses in phytochemistry and human health, as well as biological mass spectrometry. He also directed a graduate program, trained undergraduate and graduate students in analytical and biological sciences, and served on several review panels and editorial boards. Prior to joining CSR, he was a scientific review officer at the National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS), where he managed the review of applications in research, training, and capacity-building programs. His background spans both basic and translational sciences across biological kingdoms.
