Health Services Research for ADRD Populations – HSS (90)
Reviews applications that focus on the provision of health services, healthcare quality, effectiveness, and individual/patient health outcomes related to the identification, diagnosis, and treatment of Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias (ADRD) and cognitive decline. Applications focused on the organization and delivery of Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias (ADRD) and cognitive health services at the systems level including health care financing, insurance, access, utilization and the provision of health services at the population level are also reviewed in this study section.

- Access to and impact of clinical care for chronic and acute conditions, including serious illnesses, among patients with ADRD and/or cognitive decline
- Impact of provider- and system-level implementation strategies on care trajectories among patients with ADRD and/or cognitive decline
- Impact of Medicaid and Medicare policies on program beneficiaries; cost-effectiveness of ADRD treatments
- Caregiving and care partners; shared decision-making with clinicians
- Settings could include emergency department, home health, palliative/hospice care, long-term care facilities, nursing homes, interhospital transfer, surgery, critical care
