Review Branch Summary
The Neuropathology B Review Branch reviews crosscutting neuroscience grant applications that focus on the development of novel technologies as well as the application of emerging technologies to neuroscience problems or on training in the neurosciences. The scientific areas are broad and include: genetics, bioengineering, drug development, bioinformatics, modeling, simulation, artificial intelligence, neuroimaging, and neuromodulation all in a neuroscience context. The NPD Branch also reviews applications in the areas of vision technology. Areas covered in the areas of vision technology development include low vision technologies, low vision rehabilitation and assessment, imaging in the eye as well as retinal prosthetics and drug development.
