Dr. Robert Gersch received his Ph.D. in genetics from Stony Brook University, then he continued his work there as assistant professor of research. During this time, he investigated diagnostic and therapeutic applications for wound healing in cardiac and skin tissue. He then served as a senior research investigator at both the University of Pennsylvania and Cornell University conducting research into the use of stem cells as therapeutic agents to alleviate the effects of aging and enhance wound care in humans and animals.
