Dr. Angela Boutte earned her Ph.D. in Molecular Neuroscience from Vanderbilt University, where she conducted research detailing cytoskeletal dynamics in Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (ADRD). As a research fellow at Vanderbilt University, Dr. Boutte defined myeloid cell proteomes and developed novel breast cancer therapeutics. Prior to joining CSR, Dr. Boutte served as the Section Chief in the Brain Trauma Neuroprotection Branch and as the Lead Laboratory Co-Investigator for the Blast Induced Neurotrauma Branch at the Walter Reed Institute for Research. She led translational and human subject biomarker assay development, as well as therapeutics for post-traumatic neuroinflammation and proteolysis. Her biotech research included biomarker development and validation for mental health, fertility, sexually transmitted infections, and cardiovascular disease. Dr. Boutte also founded a small business focused on neuroscience biomarker tests, treatments, and research program development.
