Dr. Donald Scott Wright received his Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Cincinnati and he has over 50 publications. Before joining NIH, he held the following leadership positions within the pharmaceutical industry: section director of pharmacokinetics/drug metabolism at Parke-Davis, director of pharmaceutical chemistry at Covance, director of pharmaceutical analysis at Insmed, and director of research and development and chromatographic sciences at PPD. His areas of expertise include pharmacokinetics and drug metabolism, pharmaceutical chemistry, and bioanalytical chemistry of small and large molecules in preclinical and clinical pharmaceutical development.
