Dr. Karen Seymour received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Maryland, College Park. She completed her predoctoral APA accredited clinical internship at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington D.C. and completed a post-doctoral NIMH T32 fellowship in Child Mental Health and affective neuroscience training at Brown University School of Medicine. Prior to joining CSR, Dr. Seymour was an assistant professor at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine for seven years. Her expertise is in developmental psychopathology, and her research focused on examining emotion dysregulation in child psychopathology, particularly Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), using multimodal neuroscience methods.
