Dr. Alyssa Gregory received her Ph.D. in immunology from Washington University in St. Louis. She completed post-doctoral training at the University of Pittsburgh, where her work focused on the role of neutrophils in a variety of chronic pulmonary diseases, including emphysema, lung cancer, and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. She went on to hold a position as a research associate professor in the University of Pittsburgh’s Department of Surgery, studying the immune response to acute traumatic injury. During her time as a faculty member, she managed an animal modeling core facility and served on the university’s animal welfare committee. Her work has been funded by the American Lung Association and the Flight Attendant Medical Research Institute.
