Reviews applications that focus on the provision of health services, healthcare quality, effectiveness, and individual/patient health outcomes as it relates to the diagnosis and treatment of mental health and substance use disorders. Applications focused on the organization and delivery of mental health and substance use disorders services at the systems level including health care financing, insurance, access, utilization and the provision of health services at the population level are also reviewed in this study section.

  • Impact of insurance plan design, including Medicaid, Medicare, and private policies, as well as state-level policies on plan enrollees and health outcomes
  • Settings could include the justice system, community health centers and pharmacies, primary care, emergency departments, outpatient, school-based health centers
