Dr. Subhamoy Pal earned his Ph.D. in molecular and cellular biology from the University of Maryland at College Park where he studied innate immune responses in fruit flies. He completed his post-doctoral fellowship and served as a scientist at the Naval Medical Research Center, where he developed technologies to diagnose infectious diseases in austere environments. Dr. Pal continued consulting with the Department of Defense on advancing science and policies to protect service members from biological and operational threats. Over the years, he has provided scientific and programmatic support to the Defense Health Agency, Defense Threat Reduction Agency, and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency.
