Dr. Heather Brockway received her Ph.D. in genetics from the University of Iowa where she investigated the molecular mechanisms in aneuploidy in C. elegans. During her post-doctoral training at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, she focused on identifying molecular signatures of idiopathic spontaneous preterm birth in placental villous tissue. Prior to coming to CSR, Dr. Brockway was faculty at the University of Florida where she continued to work on the placental role in preterm birth. Dr. Brockway’s training and research has been funded by the NIH, the March of Dimes, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
