Review Branch Summary
The Immunology and Infectious Diseases B (IIDB) branch reviews grant applications broadly focused on immunology and infectious diseases, covering the mechanisms and treatment of diseases when the immune system has a major role, including autoimmunity, hypersensitivity/allergy, and alloimmunity. Also included are studies of HIV/AIDS associated pathogen co-infections and cancers, HIV vaccine development and immunopathogenesis, and co-morbidities associated with chronic infections of HIV.
