Dr. Elliott holds an M.Sc. in radiation biology from University of London and a Ph.D. in neuroscience from Cornell (now Weill Cornell) Graduate School of Medical Sciences in New York City.
Dr. Elliott trained as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of California Irvine and the University of California San Francisco before returning to the East Coast as an instructor of neurology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center/Harvard Medical School, where he applied DNA microarray technologies to the study of epilepsy-associated changes in gene expression and network reorganization. Prior to joining CSR, Dr. Elliott conducted research into disease-related neuronal degeneration and regeneration at Biogen-Idec, Inc., in Cambridge, MA.
