Review Branch Summary

The Immunology and Infectious Diseases B (IIDB) Branch reviews grant applications broadly focused on infectious diseases and immunology, addressing the immune system’s role in host interactions with infectious agents and the mechanisms and treatment of diseases when the immune system has a major role, including autoimmunity, immune-mediated diseases, and immune tolerance. Also included are basic science, pre-clinical, and clinical studies of the pathogenesis of HIV/AIDS associated pathogens and cancers, co-infection with other infectious disease, and co-morbidities associated with chronic infections of HIV.
